Development Centres

What is a Junior Golf Development Centre?

Essentially, these centres are established to recognize facilities that are offering a first class experience for children aged 5-18. They support and run nationally endorsed programs, they have trained and certified golf professionals and are linked to schools in their communities. If there is a National Junior Golf Development Centre within your area, this is a great facility to look at closer as it will offer everything from introduction to the sport programs all the way to competitive programs for juniors. All of the parties involved are dedicated to making these locations state-of-the-art facilities that offer a welcoming atmosphere for juniors of all levels.
NJGDCWhether it’s learning the basics, playing with peers or seeking private lessons – these centres are for you! Development Centres are also used for talent identification purposes for those competitive golfers seeking to play on provincial teams. Currently, there is at least one Development Centre located in every province. You can enter in your postal code to find the closest location or contact your provincial association for more information
